JUNAGARH FORT

The Junagarh Fort was built by Rao Bika. This was one first fort built on plain land. The fort houses several palaces made of marble and sandstone built by different rulers during reign. The fort museum has large collection of manuscripts, miniature paintings, royal costumes, jewels, Farman’s (royal orders), costumes, portrait galleries, enamelware, headgear and dresses of deities, silver, palanquins, howdahs and war drums.

Lalgarh Palace was built by Maharaja Ganga Singh. This palace is built in Indo Saracenic architecture amalgamating the best Rajput, Muslim and European styles. The palace houses a museum exhibiting an extensive range of rare artefacts, hunting trophies and Georgian paintings.
